- Material & craftsmanship
- Carved by hand in solid wood with chisels, gouges and a hammer, down to the folds of the hide, the ears and the single horn. It is rubbed smooth with abrasive paper, then coloured, darker in the grooves than on the raised plates, and sealed with a brushed coat through which the grain still shows.

The object
The dark in every groove is applied colour, not the wood’s own: the raised plates are left lighter, and the grain shows through the coat.

Care
- Keep it out of strong direct sun and away from a heater: both dry the wood quickly, which can open fine checks along the grain, and sun fades the coat.
- Dust it with a soft, dry cotton or microfibre cloth.
- No water, no damp cloth and no chemical cleaner, and keep it away from damp.

Handmade orders cannot be cancelled once placed. You can still correct your address or phone number before it is dispatched.
If something is wrong
We do not accept returns for change of mind, colour or fit. If your piece arrives damaged, defective or not as ordered, send us a 10-second unboxing video within 48 hours of delivery and choose a full refund or a replacement.
